Tungsten Carbide Lined Choke Seat - API 6A Compatible About
Product Overview
The Tungsten Carbide Lined Choke Seat is a precision-engineered valve trim component designed for use in adjustable choke valves in oil and gas wellhead equipment. Also known as the needle-and-seat choke seat, this component works in conjunction with a choke stem (needle) to regulate the flow of fluids from wellheads, Christmas trees, choke manifolds, and production manifolds.
As a critical valve trim component, the choke seat provides a durable sealing and throttling surface against which the needle (stem) moves to control the flow rate. The combination of the needle and seat forms the core of an adjustable choke valve, enabling operators to precisely regulate production flow and maintain optimal well performance.
In an adjustable choke, the needle moves relative to the seat to change the cross-sectional area of the fluid flow path. When the needle contacts the seat, the opening is completely covered, stopping fluid flow entirely. This needle-and-seat choke principle is the foundation of adjustable choke technology.
